Uzbekistan: Water treatment projects with Spanish EPC companies

Water treatment projects in Uzbekistan are seeking more Spanish EPC companies that can be responsible for engineering, supply, installation, start-up and maintenance. This was stated by Eduard Gulian, CEO of ACIR Southern Europe after a working meeting with European investors and businessmen with whom he shared the activities carried out by the company through his office in Tashkent.

Purification and purification facilities

ACIR and its European partners have been developing various activities in Central Asia, highlighting among them two important projects for the treatment of industrial water (purification facilities for a textile factory) and water purification for urban supply. The total cost of both is around 16 million euros and is financed by multilateral organizations.

“Given the high demand from a greater number of companies for the various stages of the plan, we have begun the search for Spanish companies in the water treatment sector to participate as EPC (engineering, supply, installation, start-up and maintenance thereof)”, he indicated.

For all stages of execution, ACIR specialists develop strategies into a complete plan of activities. These are validated by international standards and a group of industry experts.

Uzbekistan in search of Spanish EPC companies

Following the plans contemplated in ACIR’s 2022 strategy, they are currently in the process of attracting a greater number of EPC companies in the water and industrial waste treatment sector. Those interested in participating can send their requests to acir@aci-r.com

The essential requirements to participate are the following:

• Experience in participating in international projects (preferably outside the European Union)
• Possess international quality certificates (ISO and others)
• Have a portfolio of executed actions
• Own, state, bank or other guarantees (letters of guarantee)

For their part, ACIR specialists in Uzbekistan will take care of all administrative and tax procedures so that companies can work in the country under improved conditions.
