Spanish companies present at the 13th International Greenhouse Fair in Almaty

Spanish greenhouses and other sectors such as vegetables, irrigation, and technology were the center of attention at the 13th International Greenhouse, Vegetable, Irrigation, and Flower Fair held in Almaty, Kazakhstan on April 5th.

As usual, the ACIR Southern Europe project office was present with its specialists and representing Spanish companies interested in Central Asian markets.

The technology and quality of Spanish products in the irrigation and greenhouse sector are recognized worldwide. For this reason, ACIR specialists participated in the fair’s technical session dedicated to land protection in Kazakhstan, where they shared their experience in carrying out international projects, as well as other mechanisms that help in this purpose: financing, logistics, storage, technologies, and more.

Spanish greenhouse companies represented by ACIR were able to showcase the advantages of their products, financing alternatives, and technological exchange offered. They also presented technological advances achieved in recent months with reference to energy savings, automation of processes, and responsible use of renewable resources.

Other topics related to greenhouse construction, vegetable storage, energy-saving technologies, substrates, irrigation, microclimate, drip irrigation and thermoregulation systems, heating systems, boiler facilities and water tanks, shading systems, agrotextiles, greenhouse protection systems, cleaning, gardening, as well as seeds, seedlings, planting materials, tools, and equipment, landscaping, and landscape design, were also addressed.

Exporting greenhouses to Central Asia.

“Central Asian markets are undoubtedly the most interesting space in the current situation. The attractiveness of their export offer as well as their needs have allowed companies from all countries in the world to turn their attention to countries such as Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which offer unbeatable conditions for business and investment.

In the sessions we attended, we were able to get to know the interest of local companies and other participating countries in the fair. The quality of Spanish products and in general of Southern Europe has attracted attention for their high technology and competitive prices.

I am sure that in the coming days, we will finalize some agreements started these days within the framework of the fair, which will become greenhouse projects in the medium and long term,” said Egor Zhunyaev, Director of the ACIR project office in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
