ACIR Southern Europe Boosts the 5th Fergana Light Industry Forum

The 5th Fergana Light Industry Forum, held from July 1 to 6, 2024, has reaffirmed its importance as the most relevant fashion event in Central Asia. Jointly organized by ACIR Southern Europe, the Fergana Governorate, the Fergana Chamber of Commerce, and Fergana Valley Light Industry, this forum brought together over 100 textile companies, becoming an essential platform for commercial exchange and the display of innovative products.

International Connections and Fashion Showcases

The forum stood out for its broad international participation, with companies and artists from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey, South Korea, Italy, and other countries. The fashion runways were a highlight, presenting the latest trends and creations in the sector. This event not only served as a showcase for regional talent but also strengthened commercial and cultural ties among the participating nations.

ACIR: Business Platform and Access to the European Market

ACIR Southern Europe highlighted the opportunities offered by its business platform. The Textile Trade House, inaugurated in Barcelona in 2023, has facilitated access to the European market for Central Asian textile companies. This platform provides comprehensive solutions for certification and logistics, helping companies meet European standards and establish strong commercial connections.

During the forum, strategies for entering the European market were discussed, emphasizing the advantages of working with ACIR to streamline processes and find local partners and distributors. ACIR’s platform provides comprehensive support, ensuring products meet European market requirements.

Financial Support and Trade Facilitation

A crucial aspect of the forum was the presentation of available financing measures for companies seeking international expansion. ACIR has been instrumental in providing financial advice and support, enabling textile companies to grow and compete globally. The thematic sessions addressed various financing options and how ACIR can facilitate this process, ensuring companies have the necessary resources for their expansion.

ACIR’s support includes guidance on obtaining financing, advice on foreign trade policies, and assistance in navigating regulatory procedures. These measures are essential for companies to maximize their potential in international markets.

Forum Results and Upcoming Projects

The success of the 5th Fergana Light Industry Forum was reflected in the agreements reached. One of the most significant achievements was the organization of a trade mission for the textile and fashion sector to Southern Europe, planned for the end of the year. This mission, led by ACIR and Uzbek sectoral organizations, promises to open new opportunities in the European market.

This mission aims to strengthen commercial ties and explore new market opportunities in Southern Europe. Participating companies will be able to interact with commercial partners, distributors, and potential clients, facilitating their international expansion.

In conclusion, the 5th Fergana Light Industry Forum has been a resounding success, highlighted by the quality of the products presented and the innovations showcased. ACIR Southern Europe continues to play a key role in strengthening commercial relations and promoting the Central Asian textile industry on the global stage.
