Key advances in food trade and production between Italy and Eurasia

During his recent mission in Florence, the President of ACIR Southern Europe joined the local team at one of Italy’s most important food and beverage trade fairs. The agenda included key meetings with companies from the food, cosmetics, and retail design sectors.

A swift agreement was reached for the supply of food products, beverages, and cosmetics from Italy to Eurasian and Central Asian markets. In parallel, discussions explored the potential localization of production in these regions to reduce logistics costs and better adapt to local consumer preferences.

Concept Store for Eurasia

In a separate meeting with chocolate producers working closely with top fashion houses, the product range and concept store format (café + showroom) were defined, using the recent Kuwait launch as a model.

Five key lines of work were identified for the coming months:

  1. Direct supply of Italian food and cosmetic products to Central Asia.

  2. Development of commercial channels through local partners.

  3. Localization of production for selected strategic products in the region.

  4. Implementation of concept stores highlighting Italian design and brand experience.

  5. Joint institutional promotion to support market entry and strengthen positioning.

ACIR Southern Europe specialists actively participated in these discussions with partners from Southern Europe and Central Asia, sharing their experience in international trade and investment project implementation.
