Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Spain

Kazakhstan expressed interest in strengthening cooperation in the field of investment and trade with Spain. This was discussed at a meeting with commercial representatives of the country and directors of the Eurasian Business Alliance.

Spain, a strategic cooperation partner with Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is one of the most prosperous economies in Central Asia. Its vast natural resources combined with the measures taken by the government have allowed this country to stand out among its neighbors as an ideal place for business and investment.

Witnesses of this impulse are various European companies that have taken advantage of the advantages offered by the country in order to establish themselves in its territory. In addition to special economic zones and benefits offered in certain sectors of the economy, Kazakhstan is characterized by a high level of education of the population, the purchasing power of buyers and openness to new business partners.

At the meeting, Kazakh representatives expressed the country’s interest in developing joint projects in greenhouses, building materials, packaging, pharmaceuticals (dietary supplements, laboratory consumables, medical tests), meat and related products, small livestock and other sectors such as energy, vocational training and investments.

“We had a very fruitful meeting with representatives of Kazakhstan, who expressed their country’s desire to strengthen trade and investment relations with Spain; and jointly explore other aspects of cooperation,” said Miguel de la Cruz Salcedo, Managing Director of ACE in Madrid.

Project office in Almaty

Since 2021, the Eurasian Business Alliance has project offices in Tashkent and Almaty to manage the businesses they develop in this country and to look for new opportunities for their Spanish and European partners.

These offices also coordinate the overall work that takes place between companies, offering ecosystem services to businesses. This ecosystem includes personalized services in the field of marketing, administration and representation in general. Added to this is a wide portfolio of clients and investment projects for those interested.

The project office offers promotion of projects, technologies, goods and services of companies from Spain, Italy, Portugal to Kazakhstan:

• Diversified approach: medicine, construction and architecture, agro-industrial complex, traditional and green energy, mechanical engineering, waste management, food industry, etc.
• Participation in national and international commercial and government tenders
• Possibility of using combined financial instruments and inclusion in special concessional financing programs
• Openness to various forms of association, including the possibility of localizing production and creating joint ventures.
• The ACE Advisory Board consists of business and policy representatives from Europe and Eurasia.
• Unique administrative, legal and financial conditions of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) for opening new companies and branches.
