The signing of the Cooperation Agreement between representatives of Spain, Italy and Uzbekistan takes the first key step to expand the presence of Uzbek companies in southern Europe.
The Eurasian Business Alliance, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Uztekstilprom signed the above agreement within the framework of the I International Investment Forum in Tashkent, which brought together various world and national authorities.
Through this agreement, Uzbek companies will be able to access the markets of southern Europe through a variety of business ecosystem tools presented by ACE. Also, the great experience of the company, which has been on the market for more than 10 years, will also contribute to the development.
In addition, financing instruments are offered to which the Alliance has access through its agreements with public and private organizations.
With this agreement, work begins on the implementation of a fashion hub in the countries of southern Europe, which will allow local companies to interact with their Uzbek and Eurasian counterparts in the textile, footwear and leather industries.
Tashkent International Investment Forum with Spanish participation
The 1st Tashkent International Investment Forum ended on March 26 with the presence of Spanish companies and investors who learned firsthand about the country’s potential and existing cooperation alternatives.
During this forum, ACE shared its own experience in the implementation of joint bilateral and multilateral projects, as well as practical cases and business and investment opportunities in different countries.
Eurasian investments abroad became one of the most interesting sessions of the forum. In it, specialists from the ACE project office in Tashkent spoke about the work they are doing to promote this type of investment in the countries of southern Europe, together with the Business Council of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain and the Business Club Uzbekistan – Spain.
Since 2020, 9 joint projects have been launched in the production of functional food, textiles and footwear, waste management, greenhouses, construction and architecture.
A new stage in the presence of Spanish companies in Uzbekistan
“A new stage is opening for Spanish companies,” said Yegor Zhunyaev, director of the project office, after participating in the 1st Tashkent Investment Forum.
“We held a presentation of various projects that we have started since 2020, and they were received positively by Uzbek, Eurasian and European investors.”
“To all this, the signing of an important agreement was added, which will increase the presence of Uzbekistan in Europe, but, above all, will enable European companies to gain access to new capital, technologies and products,” he concluded.
For his part, Eduard Gulшan, CEO of ACE, told the local press: “The experience of the Eurasian Business Alliance allowed us to be invited to this important event to share the activities that we are developing together with Uzbek and European companies.”
“We are convinced that through the efforts of each of the parties and the tools that we offer for business, many more initiatives can be implemented in both parts of the continent,” he concluded.
