ACIR and European fund discuss investment in Central Asia

The President of ACIR Southern Europe met with one of Europe’s leading investment funds to explore opportunities in Central Asia. During the meeting with the Italian partner, discussions covered the region’s investment portfolio, as well as financial, insurance, and transaction mechanisms essential for securing operations.

ACIR presented projects in key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, water treatment, irrigation, and machinery. These sectors offer strong potential for European investors looking to diversify their portfolios in high-growth markets.

A critical aspect of the meeting was assessing financing structures and risk mitigation strategies. Topics included direct investment models, co-financing with local institutions, and guarantees facilitating project execution. Legal and tax structures that enhance investment security and profitability were also examined.
