Participation in Global Investment Forum

By invitation of the Ministry of Tourism of Uzbekistan and the World Tourism Organization, ACIR Southern Europe has had a prominent participation in the 25th General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in the tourist city of Samarkand.

During the UNWTO General Assembly Summit, important negotiations were held with the UNWTO Secretary General, Zurab Pololikashvili, as well as with the government and region of Samarkand. In addition, significant links were established with leaders of foreign tourist companies and there was the opportunity to interact with representatives of the media, which allowed for the widespread and effective dissemination of the projects that ACIR Southern Europe has been implementing in Central Asia.

“SENIOR” Project

During the meetings with the representatives of the administration of the Samarkand region and the city of Samarkand, the details of the implementation of the urban and architectural development project “SENIOR” were discussed. It is planned that on November 9th, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the realization of the project in Barcelona will take place. This signature represents an important step in the advancement of the “SENIOR” initiative and will strengthen the collaboration between ACIR Southern Europe and the city authorities.

The Memorandum of Understanding will establish the bases of cooperation, the commitments and the deadlines for the implementation of the project. It will be a key document that will guarantee the alignment of the parties involved and will allow to advance effectively in the planning and execution of the necessary actions.

This signature will take place within the framework of a special event that will count with the participation of representatives of ACIR Southern Europe, local authorities of Barcelona and other key actors in the field of urban and architectural development. It will be an opportunity to celebrate the formal start of this important collaboration and to reaffirm the commitment of all parties to the success of the project.
