Uzbekistan’s IT Park enters Southern Europe

Uzbekistan’s IT Park enters the Southern European market hand in hand with ACIR Southern Europe.

On October 25, 2023, a memorandum of understanding was signed in Tashkent between ACIR Southern Europe and the Uzbekistan Technology Park. The document was signed by Abdulahad Kuchkarov, Executive Director of the Uzbekistan IT Park, and Egor Zhunyaev, project director of ACIR Southern Europe.

This memorandum of understanding between ACIR Southern Europe and the Uzbekistan Technology Park will bring multiple benefits to both parties. Not only will it allow the exchange of knowledge and valuable experiences in the field of technology and startups, but it will also enable collaboration in the training and certification of IT specialists. In addition, this agreement will facilitate the co-participation of experts in important events and the exchange of information on technological business policies, which will contribute to the development of both technological ecosystems.

Cooperation topics in the memorandum

The memorandum covers a series of topics of mutual interest to both parties. Among them, the establishment of direct partnerships, the exchange of experiences on the development of technopark operations and ecosystems for startups, and IT education stand out.

As part of the agreement, joint trainings will be conducted with the subsequent certification of specialists. The aim is to improve their digital knowledge and provide an exchange of experiences with international experts.

Technological business policies

The agreement also contemplates the exchange of information on technological business policies and best practices in the implementation of such policies in their respective countries. This agreement represents a significant step towards collaboration in the internationalization of existing programs of each party.

In addition to the mentioned cooperation points, the parties have agreed to actively seek representation of the Uzbekistan Technology Park in the most recognized and prestigious technological centers of Southern Europe. The goal of this initiative is to establish a collaborative space that allows the search for strategic partners, the attraction of investors interested in the development of innovative technologies, and the recruitment of high-level specialists in the technological field. This joint effort aims to boost the growth of technological infrastructure and foster professional and business relationships between both regions.
