The Business Club between Southern Europe and Central Asia (CASEBC) has once again highlighted its commitment to expanding and developing business ties in the Basque Country. In a recent event, held at the historic ancestral estate of the Dukes of Alba in San Sebastián, various initiatives were discussed that could mark a turning point in the commercial relationships between the two regions. The meeting not only reinforced existing collaborations but also opened up new opportunities in key sectors such as gastronomy, cosmetics, and fashion.
A strategic meeting in San Sebastián
The meeting, held at the iconic residence of the Dukes of Alba, was strategic in nature as it served to review and plan projects that could enhance economic relations between Southern Europe and Central Asia. This gathering brought together entrepreneurs and representatives from both regions, who analyzed existing opportunities in emerging markets and the possibilities for cooperation in innovative sectors.
Among the topics discussed, the potential collaboration between ACIR Southern Europe and the influential Spanish family in projects related to gastronomy, the production of mare’s milk-based cosmetics, and the fashion industry stood out. These areas were identified as key to developing new businesses that would not only strengthen commercial ties but also add value to both economies.
Potential of collaboration in gastronomy and cosmetics
Gastronomy is one of the sectors where the Basque Country has shown indisputable excellence, and now, with the collaboration between ACIR and the Alba family, the aim is to export this quality to new markets in Central Asia. During the meeting, several initiatives were discussed to bring gourmet products and innovative culinary techniques to these countries, leveraging the international prestige of Basque cuisine.
On the other hand, cosmetics made from mare’s milk, a traditional product in some Central Asian cultures, could find a new market in Europe thanks to this collaboration. The combination of Basque expertise in production and the sophistication of cosmetic products with the unique properties of mare’s milk offers an interesting opportunity for both markets.
Fashion as a cultural bridge
Fashion was also a central theme in the discussions. The Basque Country, known for its creativity and style, could become a reference point for fashion in Central Asia. The proposed projects include the creation of clothing lines that merge the cultural traditions of both regions, thus promoting cultural exchange through design. Collaboration with the Alba family in this area could facilitate the entry of Basque brands into Asian markets, while also introducing elements of Central Asian culture into European fashion.
The meeting in San Sebastián was an important step in consolidating relations between Southern Europe and Central Asia. The projects discussed not only strengthen existing collaboration but also open new avenues of development in key sectors such as gastronomy, cosmetics, and fashion. The Business Club’s commitment to fostering these relationships is clear, and the proposed initiatives have the potential to become success stories that benefit both regions.
