Madrid as a strategic bridge between Latin America and Central Asia

ACIR Southern Europe is further strengthening its collaboration with officials from the Madrid City Council, as part of a working agenda focused on connecting three strategic regions: Latin America, Southern Europe, and Central Asia.

In the most recent session, the discussion centered around projects from Latin America—particularly in agribusiness, food technology, and healthcare—and how they could align with market opportunities in Central Asia. The central idea: leveraging Madrid as a connector to foster synergies between institutional and business stakeholders across continents.

The reviewed projects highlight a growing interest from Latin American companies in entering Eurasian markets, while Central Asian countries are showing openness to products, technologies, and business models from across the Atlantic.

ACIR Southern Europe specialists, together with Madrid officials, are working on actionable roadmaps to structure these initiatives, secure financing mechanisms, and define Madrid’s role as a logistical and institutional hub.

ACIR remains committed to building sustainable and strategic business bridges that contribute to the shared development of all participating regions.
