Discussion of the cosmetics sector with an Uzbek partner

Eduard Gulián, President of ACIR Southern Europe, along with members of the “Fiesta” consortium of exporters of products and beverages, held an important working meeting with one of the leading cosmetics brands in Uzbekistan. This meeting marked a significant step in expanding and strengthening cooperation between both parties in international markets.

Expansion of the Uzbek brand in Southern Europe

The Uzbek brand, established in 1990, has achieved significant growth in its home country, with a network of 10 stores in Tashkent, Bukhara, and Andijan. These stores, feature over 150 international brands of perfumes, cosmetics, and personal care products. The brand’s success is not limited to its own stores; it also acts as the exclusive distributor for other retailers in Uzbekistan, supplying products directly from its warehouses and providing free promotional materials for marketing.

The meeting between Eduard Gulián and representatives of the Uzbek brand aimed to explore opportunities to introduce Uzbek cosmetic products to the Southern European market, where there is a growing demand for high-quality products inspired by unique cultural traditions. The brand’s offerings, based on the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, could attract European consumers interested in authentic and historically significant cosmetics.

A cultural approach to product creation

One of the brand’s key strengths is its strong focus on cultural identity. The products, including perfumes and cosmetics, are designed to reflect the beauty and history of ancient Uzbek cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara. The current collection includes 14 different fragrances: five for women, five for men, and four unisex, all created to capture the essence of Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.

During the meeting, the possibility of adapting some of these products for the European market was discussed, maintaining their cultural identity while catering to the preferences of consumers in this region. The creator and president of the Uzbek brand emphasized the importance of preserving authenticity and respecting cultural roots, even when expanding into new markets.

Future prospects for collaboration

The “Fiesta” consortium of exporters, known for its experience in introducing high-quality products to international markets, sees this collaboration as an opportunity to strengthen the presence of Uzbek cosmetics in Southern Europe. The combination of the cultural authenticity of Uzbek products with the consortium’s market expertise could result in a mutually beneficial synergy for both parties.

Additionally, as part of this agreement, the Uzbek company’s trading and distribution platform will be used to position European brands interested in entering the Uzbek market. This aspect of the collaboration will allow European brands to leverage the established infrastructure in Uzbekistan and access a market with enormous growth potential.

The next steps include developing a joint marketing strategy that highlights the uniqueness of Uzbek products compared to other European brands. Logistical and legal aspects will also be considered to ensure a successful and sustainable market entry.
