ACIR showcases its business, investment, and greenhouse projects in Seville

ACIR Southern Europe has held a practical session at the Seville Chamber of Commerce, together with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, to present its business and investment projects in the countries of the Eurasian region.
Local companies and foreign representatives participated in the event, gaining close insight into the potential and business opportunities offered by these countries for internationalization, trade, and investment projects.
Uzbekistan for companies from Seville
Iljom Oripov, the Counselor for Economic Affairs of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, presented to the attendees the facilities granted by the Uzbek government to foreign companies and the attractive conditions the country offers for businesses wishing to establish operations.
He highlighted the work carried out by ACIR Southern Europe in promoting business opportunities in his country and the joint efforts being made in Spain, which have enabled various sessions in Madrid, Catalonia, Valencia, Galicia, the Basque Country, and now Andalusia.
He assured that the work conducted by the Economic Council – Business Club of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, launched jointly with ACIR in July 2020, is yielding tangible results. This is reflected in the actions described above as well as other activities in Uzbekistan, such as the arrival of a business mission in September, the opening of the project office, and the current execution of nine projects.
Export projects from Seville
During his presentation, Eduard Gulian, CEO of ACIR Southern Europe, shared the more than 20 projects currently being executed by ACIR, which span various economic sectors in these countries. He specifically referred to solid waste treatment, agro-industry, greenhouses, fashion, medical supplies, construction and architecture, and smart cities.
On this last point, he presented the details of the urban project “Don Quixote Literary Neighborhood: Seville – Rostov,” an initiative that seeks to exchange best urban and business practices between both cities to promote trade, tourism, gastronomy, technology, and more. He explained that this project is already being successfully implemented between two other cities, Madrid and Moscow, with the backing of private enterprises and local governments.
“This session has allowed us to present to our partners the projects we are working on and their current status. We explained that these projects are open to the participation of more companies, so we have invited them to join each of them,” Gulian stated to the local press.
Sectors with opportunities for Spanish companies
He also referred to the sector opportunities available in Eurasian countries for Andalusian enterprises.
“The complementarity between the supply and demand for products and services offered by Andalusia and the Eurasian market is well known. However, the channels for their realization were never clear. Therefore, in our sessions, we present our management, execution, financing, and monitoring proposal for the projects we carry out. Thus, we have reiterated to our partners and friends that both Russia and the countries of the Eurasian region continue to look with interest at cooperation in the agro-industrial sector, food and beverages, technology, fashion, waste treatment, medical projects, and aeronautical issues,” he concluded.
Key Interest in Agricultural Modernization
Additionally, high-tech greenhouses have become a sector of special interest for Uzbek companies, which actively seek to integrate advanced Southern European expertise. Driven by a national plan to modernize the agro-industrial sector, local businesses in Uzbekistan are focusing on these automated greenhouse technologies to enhance crop yields, optimize resource management, and strengthen their position in international export markets.
